Shoxs 5605

The compact, jockey-style Shoxs 5605 is ideal for crew and passenger seating on open boats and RHIBS engaged in transport, search and rescue, and security operations. 

The seat base drops down to stow in seconds, and the optional Shoxs TRAXS installation allow seat locations to be quickly reconfigured. The 5605 accepts rear mounted jump seats, adding even more functionality and capacity. The 5605 options include fore/aft and height adjust to accommodate occupant size and comfort. 

The 10 inch (250 mm) suspension travel is designed for use by high speed craft operating in the most extreme conditions. The 5605 utilizes CNC machined, hard anodized 6061-T6 and 5086 H116 aluminum construction. Components include 316 stainless steel. The upholstery is waterproof, UV stable, mold resistant and hand stitched.

The seat base of the 5605 folds down to create more space on deck. A quick release handle folds the seats base with one hand. If there is a hand hold on the front of the seat it will fold using the same handle. Once folded the 5605 locks into the stowed position. The same handle is used to deploy the seat and hand hold. Stowing and deploying the seat base takes less than 5 seconds. 

Since the 5605 can accommodate the mounting of an additional jockey style seat behind it, there is a much smaller footprint on deck. The 2 seats mount on the same stabilization module or "STAB" so only one mounting is required to the deck as opposed to mounting two seats individually. The STAB can be directly bolted to the deck or secured using the SHOXS TRAXS quick release deck track mounting system. Refer to the Shoxs TRAXS section of the website for more information.  The 5605 can tandem mount with the Shoxs 5050 and the Shoxs 5105 (which folds up to stow). 

The 5605 is compatible with KINETIX, an advanced seat monitoring and analysis system. The technology allows maritime agencies to lower risk of crew injury or equipment failure by providing both on-board feedback as well as tailored reporting to agencies with any size fleet.

Shoxs seats are constructed with clear hard coat anodized aluminum parts, making the seat frame resistant to environmental factors like corrosion and UV. Slight color variations in the raw aluminum may be visible as a result. We offer black anodizing as an option (subject to minimum quantity requirements and longer lead times.)
